We're here to make your experience of getting fresh, local food from independent Ontario farmers as simple and transparent as possible. Below you'll find answers to common questions about our ordering process, delivery zones, scheduling, and our firm commitment to supporting local agriculture.

What is IndieFood Retail? |
IndieFood Retail is your online marketplace for fresh, local food sourced directly from independent Ontario farmers and producers. We are committed to quality, sustainability, and strengthening the local food economy. |

Why should I choose IndieFood? |
You get superior, fresher food delivered to your door. More importantly, 80% of all sales go directly to the farm, offering them much better support than traditional grocery stores. The farmers also have full control, as they set their own pricing. Our farm-to-door model is also better for the planet, lowering carbon emissions. |

Do I need a subscription or commitment to order? |
No. We offer flexible shopping with no subscriptions or commitments. Order what you need, when you need it. Note that there is a $50 order minimum. |

2. Ordering Process

When is the weekly ordering deadline? |
To be included in this week's delivery, you must place your order by 12 PM (Noon) on Monday. |

Is there an order minimum? |
Yes, there is a 50$ order minimum required to checkout. |

What happens after I place my order? |
After the Monday deadline, we place orders with the farmers. We then pick up the products from Ontario farms midweek, ensuring everything is at peak freshness. Your order is delivered to you by Friday. |

Can I modify or cancel my order after the Monday deadline? |
Since we place our orders with farmers immediately after the deadline, we are generally unable to modify or cancel orders after 12 PM on Monday. Please contact us immediately if you have an urgent issue. |

What is the cost of shipping? |
Shipping is FREE for all orders! |

When will my order be delivered? |
Orders placed by the Monday deadline are delivered to your front door by Friday of the same week. The delivery schedule for your zone can be found on our Delivery Schedule Map. |

How can I track my delivery? |
We send updates every Wednesday by SMS and email. This notification will provide you with a specific delivery date and a 90-minute estimated delivery window. You will also receive a tracking link to follow your delivery's progress. |

How do you handle fresh and frozen items during delivery? |
We use a refrigerated delivery service to safely deliver refrigerated, frozen, and shelf-stable products. Your order arrives fresh and ready for your shelves. |

Do I need to be home to receive my delivery? |
No, you do not need to be home. Your order will be packed securely. We recommend placing a cooler outside, especially for meat, dairy, and prepared food items. |

Which areas do you serve? |
We serve a wide area across Ontario. Please refer to the Delivery Schedule Map on our website to see if you are within the Green, Red, or Blue Service Areas. |

What is the delivery frequency for each zone? |
<ul><li>Green Service Area: Weekly deliveries every Thursday.</li><li>Red & Blue Service Areas: Bi-weekly deliveries every other Friday.</li></ul> |

How do I know if my zone is scheduled for delivery this week? |
Please consult the calendar on our Delivery Schedule Map. Red and Blue zones indicate weeks when those areas receive a bi-weekly delivery. |

What kinds of products do you offer? |
We offer a rotating selection, including Produce, Meat, Dairy & Eggs, Bakery, Pantry Staples, Beverages, Prepared Food, and various Non-Food Items/Gifts. |

How is product pricing determined? |
Our commitment is to the farmer. The farmers and producers who grow and create the food set their own pricing, ensuring fair market value for their work. |
